Birds, iguanas, and crocodiles! Oh my!
For Part two of our day, we went on a river tour of Rio Nosoro with Leroy from Germany. I don’t really think that was his real name. He sounded just like that wildlife guy on NPR except with a German accent.
He took us through the Mangrove trees along the river pointing out countless birds, iguanas, and crocodiles. It was a great way to learn about birds and see wildlife.
Here are a sampling of some of the photos I took. First, here’s a yellow bird whose name escapes me.
And here is a bluish bird whose name also escapes me.
And here’s another white bird.
It got a little more interesting when we saw the iguanas.
And even more interesting when we saw the crocodiles.
We did see other larger crocodiles which were much more menacing. Finally, as we went back to end the tour, we got another great sunset!
Thanks to James for loaning me his lens to get all these amazing shots! It is a Canon 50-200 with image stabilization. Loved using it.
