Today was our last day in Costa Rica. As such, this post will be shorter for a number of reasons. Who wants to go on and on about the last day? Second, we did very little today other than lay around and stick close to the grounds of the Four Seasons.
The picture above was of our new best friend Brayan. His job was to swim about the pool with a floating cooler of beer and sell it to us. We really liked Brayan a lot! The picture with him gives you a general idea of our day. As you can see. We were also photo bombed by our new friends Matt and Andrea.
We were up with the sun as usual. We never slept past seven on this trip. But why would you with the beautiful weather and gorgeous sunrises?
Because I love to snorkel, we snorkeled right after breakfast again. I could do it for hours. I was out for about 90 minutes today right after the high tide. I didn’t see anything new or different, but was trying to get the most out of the underwater camera.
After snorkeling, we did some kayaking.
And after the kayaking, we did laid on the beach.
And after the beach, we had lunch by the pool and never left. Much of this was due to Brayan and his beer cooler.
Brayan was very busy around the grounds of the Four Seasons. Here he is with a Christmas Wreath.
It’s been strange to be in a country in December with only the slightest nod to the fact that Christmas is coming. This wreath and a few Christmas trees are the only signs that it is coming. It’s refreshing, actually not to have Christmas shoved down your throat.
While sitting by the pool, the Howler Monkeys made an appearance near the beach.
They put on quite a show for the tourists. The baby monkey was especially cute.
It was a great final day in Costa Rica. We hope to have one more snorkel before heading to the airport and home in the morning.
This has been a great trip.
