The Last Shot
Last year, on May 22, I began a journey to take one picture a day for a year. This is the last shot of the year–a self portrait on the eve of my 42nd birthday.
I did it! Didn’t miss a day. Mission accomplished!
What a year it’s been!
When you document your life like this, you realize how fast time passes. I traveled to many places like Fairbanks, Homer, Seattle, Washington DC, New York–twice–Palm Springs, Denver, Puerto Vallarta, and Costa Rica. I saw amazing things, met amazing people. I have these memories documented in a kind of way that I’ve never had before.
It’s hard to believe a year ago I stated with this picture.
I’ve learned a LOT about photography on the way and feel I’ve improved.
I’m behind on my weekly progress, but will get it up soon.
Now, I’m going to bed. Don’t know what tomorrow holds in store, but I think I just might take a picture.
