April 30-May 6, 2013
I’m determined to finish my blog post for each week, even though I am fully six weeks from the finish of the 365 Photo Project.
This was a fun week because week 50 had me back to Palm Springs as a mid way point for our trip to Puerto Vallarta.
But before we got out of town, I had a few more shots in Anchorage to get.
As in previous weeks, many of my shots were taken in the late evening to capture some of the fun and beautiful setting sun light. This shot of the two frogs is no different.
I went for a walk on Wednesday to take advantage of the improving weather (at the time). I came across this water flowing through dirt.
The May 2 shot was supposed to be the last snow shot of the year. Unbelievably, there will be another.
On Friday, I was out for a walk and I saw this guy blowing giant bubbles in the park.
I shot this with my iPhone. I had been wanting to get shots of this guy, but it was hard to find him. I’d seen him around town, but never was it convenient to get a shot of him. It was one of the few times I went for a walk without my Canon DSLR. Always be prepared, but the iPhone did a good enough job.
Saturday saw us in Palm Springs!
On Sunday, we went for a hike.
There was a humming bird feeder at the information cabin at the top of the hike. I was trying to get some good shots of the birds as they fed.
I was also quite taken with the cacti on the hike. We hiked about six miles across the desert. It was a nice journey. This is one of my favorites from the cacti shots.
Finally, there is the palm tree shot I love.
Next is week 51 and the shots in Mexico!
